New Technology around the world

HP, Acer, Dell and Lenovo sold the most in 2011 with the Tablet PC players.

Gartner and IDC estimates indicate numbers below market expectations. The tablet could capture the favor of consumers at the expense of laptop.
In the third quarter of 2010, global PC shipments have exceeded 88.3 million units, an increase of 7.6% over the same period in 2009. It is mainly laptop systems to drive growth. However, the numbers provided by Gartner paint a picture of the situation less favorable than expected: analysts had predicted a sales increase of 12.7% PC.
To confirm the preliminary estimates by Gartner also processed data from IDC: 88.7 million personal computers delivered all the time, an increase of 11 percentage points. And IDC notes that the results are below expectations.

Hewlett-Packard remains the largest producer of PCs worldwide in terms of deliveries, with a market share of 17.5% (-0.5% yoy). Behind HP is Acer, with 13.1% (-1.7%), followed by Dell with 12.2% (+9.2%). Lenovo to fourth place with a share of the market share of 10.4% (+33%), in fifth place with Asus 5.4% (+22.5%) and Toshiba in sixth with 5.3% ( +17%).
If you look to the U.S. market, the Gartner numbers indicate strong growth from Apple: the Cupertino company is fourth, behind HP, Dell and Acer, with 10.4% market share (+13.7%) . Even better for the company to Steve Jobs according to IDC, Apple indicates that as the third largest vendor in the U.S..

According to some observers, in 2011 will be even HP, Acer, Dell and Lenovo to dominate the global market in relation to deliveries of PC. But it seems that will materialize as expected by some analysts earlier this year: the 2011 will feature the tablet market. A disadvantage of laptop.
