An alleged source inside Google has confirmed the upcoming launch of Google TV box based on ARM technology, thus presenting an alternative (perhaps much cheaper) option of the Intel CE4100. The source did not reveal whether the ARM-based platform was planned to replace or complement, the Intel, but confirmed the ongoing dialogue between ARM and Google last November 2010.
This news offers the prospect of a series of Google TV cheaper than seen so far. At present the most economical solution is offered through the box Logitech Revue, for $ 299 is based on the Intel CE4100.
