Xuxian Jiang, a computer security researcher at North Carolina State University, has identified a security flaw in Android mobile operating system 2.3 Gingerbread. The vulnerability would provide access to the microSD memory and directories of the applications installed on the terminals with the OS in question. Just click on a link containing malicious code on a website you can give access to all data stored on the microSD, including photos, voice and video.
Once the scan, these files can be uploaded to a remote server. Similarly, the same vulnerability allows you to scan and upload load on a remote server application integrated into the terminal. The vulnerability has been discovered using a Nexus S Gingerbread Android 2.3. To avoid this problem, was advised to temporarily disable or remove the microSD memory or to disable JavaScript from built-in browser, or switch to Firefox.
Meanwhile, Google is working on the problem.
